Hong-Keun Hyun

Dr. Hong-Keun Hyun is a full professor and chair at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, School of Dentistry, Seoul National University, Korea, as well as at Seoul National University Dental Hospital. He received his DDS from Seoul National University in 1998, an MSD in 2001, and a PhD in 2008 from the same institution. Dr. Hyun underwent training with a 1-year internship and 3-year post-graduate residency at Seoul National University Hospital, earning national certification as a specialist in pediatric dentistry from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea. He studied as a visiting associate professor at the Division of Biomaterials and Biomechanics, School of Dentistry, Oregon Health & Science University, USA. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Korean Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Vice President of the Korean Association for Disability and Oral Health. He is a fellow of the International Association for Disability and Oral Health, the International Association of Dental Traumatology, and the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry. With over 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications, including more than 60 in SCIE journals, Dr. Hyun's research focuses on restorative biomaterials, pediatric dentistry, and dental traumatology. He is on the editorial board of JDR, IJPD, and JOCPD.
